There are many institutions and publications today offering you help with investing. Unfortunately for the average uneducated investor, most of this information is garbage.

The reason? Many publications only report the ‘hot stock tip,’ and ignore the really important information about making money with the market.

The first thing you need to know about investing is that you should never chase the next hot stock tip. Think about this: the hot stock tip is the one that everybody jumps is buying

What percentage of investors as a whole ever get wealth? Very few; this should be a good clue that, if everybody is doing something, you should probably be doing the opposite.

Often times, uneducated investors can temporarily drive up a stock price of a company that may not be doing well financially at all; when the market realizes this, the price will come crashing down. This is lack of knowledge is how many uneducated investors lose a lot of money with their investments.

The reason so many people error in investing is the get rich quick mentality. They don’t want to take the time to get help with their investing or educate themselves on finding a good company, so they merely buy whatever stock their broker or financial magazine is recommending. The world’ best investors don’t think this way.

In fact, most of the word’s top investors make their money with companies that virtually nobody is talking about, and that are flying under the radar. The reason for this is very simply; when some major publications recommend a stock, guess what happens. Everybody runs out and buys it, right?

What does that do? Inflate the price. Therefore, unless you get in on it at the very beginning, the craze will likely be over by the time you make your cause, and you lose out.

However, if you know how to locate a company that is doing well financially but virtually nobody is paying attention to, you can often times find some get bargains just waiting to be discovered. The market always values a stock long term according to the companies’ real value. Therefore, if a profitable company is selling at a price les than it’s really worth, that signs a great time to buy.

This is merely a crash-course into the exciting world of investing. The bottom line is that you will need to educate yourself and get as much help with investing as you can in order to find the best stocks for your portfolio. However, here’s one tip that will always were you well, in investing or life in general; just look at what everybody’s doing and do the opposite.
