So you want to become a stock broker? There are few fields that offer the excitement that this career does.
Often times, you are in charge of hundreds if not thousand of clients portfolios, and can make or break someone’ financial future by your decisions.

But the question remains: how do you become a stock broker? There are several avenues to achieve this.
First of all, if you are still in school, begin to prepare by taking as many courses in math, business and economics as possible. The more financially educated you are, the better chance you have to land one of these highly competitive jobs.

You will need to pass the General Securities Registered Representative Examination in order to qualify to become a stock broker. In order to acquire this information, try to get some on-the-job training at a brokerage firm.
Once you pass the exam, you will become a certified representative of that particular company, and began handling your own clients.
One very important fact to know about his field-it is extremely labor intensive, and many wash out after just several months on the job during the training and building their client base. This job is not for the faint of heat.
Unlike most jobs, you not only need to have on the job skills for financial advisement, but you also have to know how to market your services. Even though you work for a company, it is basically as if you are operating your own business.
If you are able to pass all these tests, you will have earned your spot in this highly competitive and demanding field. As I said above, there are few jobs out here as grueling (and yet rewarding) as that of a stock broker.
